Accra Hearts of Oak have stepped up preparations for the upcoming season as they enter the second phase of their pre-season training at the Army Combat Training School in Teshie.
This marks the next stage of their carefully planned pre-season programme, following several weeks of foundational work at the club’s training base in Kpobiman.
Under the guidance of head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, this phase is designed to push both players and technical staff beyond their comfort zones, with an emphasis on building physical strength, mental resilience, and overall team cohesion.
“The idea is to assess the physical status of every individual and strengthen their capacity to withstand pressure—both physically and mentally,” Coach Dramani explained. “It’s about knowing your limits and then going beyond them. We’re working on muscle endurance, mental stability, and the discipline to keep going until the final whistle.”
Training sessions at the Teshie facility are grounded in sports science, with close attention paid to the physiological development of the players. Despite the increase in workload, the technical team is carefully monitoring recovery and prioritizing injury prevention.
“This isn’t just about pushing hard—it’s about pushing smart,” added one of the fitness staff members. “We’re building a team that’s not only strong, but also durable and mentally prepared for the demands of an entire season.”
The club is expected to continue with this phase of training over the coming days before transitioning into more tactical and match-specific sessions ahead of the new campaign.
