The Supporters Liaison Officer of Ghana Premier League newcomers, Basake Holy Stars, Emmanuel Kwofie Donzy, remains confident that his side will avoid relegation despite the challenges posed by their final four matches of the season.
With just four games left in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign, Basake Holy Stars sit 13th on the league table, four points ahead of relegation-threatened Accra Lions.
Speaking to Ekuzoa Radio, Chairman Donzy admitted that the season has been inconsistent, but expressed belief that his team has what it takes to survive the drop.
“Our season has been up and down, but we have better chances of staying up. The road is muddy, but we shall survive it,” he said.
He also used the opportunity to rally support from the club’s fanbase as they prepare to host Kpando Heart of Lions on Matchday 31 at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena in Ampain.
“Heart of Lions have been a force to reckon this season. We need to fill the park and act as the 12th man. The players need our support now more than ever. Let’s come together and show massive backing,” Donzy appealed.
