In a major push to strengthen national security and support Ghana’s transition to a 24-hour economy, the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak-Mohammed, has handed over a fleet of 60 pickup vehicles and 20 motorbikes to the Ghana Police Service.

The donation forms part of an ongoing retooling initiative aimed at equipping the security services with the necessary logistics to enhance mobility, visibility, and response times in both urban and rural areas.

According to the Minister, the gesture underscores government’s commitment to ensuring a safer environment for economic growth around the clock. He emphasized that a well-resourced police force is key to the successful implementation of the 24-hour economy agenda.

The newly acquired vehicles and motorbikes are expected to be deployed strategically across the country to boost patrols, improve emergency response, and ensure effective law enforcement.
