The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the deployment of 17,439 nurses and midwives for the 2025/2026 national service year.
In a press release signed by the Director-General, Mr. Felix Gyamfi, the NSA stated that the postings have been released and that all deployed personnel are expected to undertake their mandatory one-year national service at accredited health facilities across the country.
The validation and registration process for deployed nurses and midwives has officially begun and will continue until Friday, May 9, 2025. Personnel are required to:
• Visit the NSA website at www.nsa.gov.gh to check their postings.
• Print their appointment letters and have them endorsed at their designated health facilities.
• Book online appointments for registration.
• Complete validation at their assigned NSA Regional Centres with an endorsed appointment letter and a valid Ghana Card.
National service/rotation officially commences on Friday, May 2, 2025.
The Authority encouraged all nurses and midwives to approach their service with professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to strengthening Ghana’s healthcare sector.
The NSA also reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), all citizens who have completed accredited tertiary institutions — including nursing training colleges — are required by law to undertake national service.
