2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Ghana striker Inaki Williams confident to score against Chad

Ghana striker, Inaki Williams has affirmed to score against Chad today in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Athletic Bilbao striker has struggled to clone his club form playing for the Black Stars since switching nationality.

Having made his debut for the four-time African champions in September 2022, Williams has scored just once in 17 appearances.

In a video shared by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) ahead of the game, Williams said, “Hello, Ghanaians. How are you doing? I’m home. On Friday, I’ll score a goal. See you.”

This statement underscores Inaki’s determination to end his goal-scoring drought and make a meaningful impact on the pitch.

The Black Stars will host Chad tonight at the Accra Sports Stadium in a pivotal match that could significantly boost Ghana’s chances of securing a spot in the 2026 World Cup.

The team will then embark on a challenging trip to Morocco, where they will face current group leaders Madagascar in a tough encounter on Monday, March 24.

Ghana currently sits in third place, level on points with second place Comoros.
