Western Region Division One League side Ebiemo FC have dismissed reports claiming the club has been sold to Prestea United FC, describing the allegations as false, baseless and misleading.

The newly promoted Access Bank Division One League club issued an official statement to address rumours circulating on social media suggesting that its club status had been transferred to Prestea United.

According to Ebiemo FC management, the reports are without merit and appear to be aimed at creating unnecessary confusion among supporters, stakeholders and the wider football fraternity.

The club stressed that it remains an independent football entity and has not entered into any agreement involving a sale, merger or transfer of ownership to Prestea United FC or any other club.

“Management wishes to state categorically that Ebiemo FC has not been sold, merged or transferred to Prestea United FC or any other club. Ebiemo FC remains an independent club and is not for sale,” the statement read.

The club has therefore urged supporters and the general public to disregard the reports and rely on official communication platforms for accurate information regarding its operations.

Ebiemo FC also cautioned individuals and media outlets against spreading unverified information, warning that it would take appropriate legal action against any party found to be deliberately damaging the reputation of the club through false publications.

The clarification comes at a time when Ebiemo FC continues preparations for its maiden Division One League campaign following a historic promotion.

Management reaffirmed its commitment to building a strong football project focused on youth development, grassroots football and creating a sustainable structure capable of competing at the highest level.

With the new season fast approaching, Ebiemo FC says its attention remains on achieving its sporting ambitions while preserving the club’s identity, independence and long-term vision in Ghana football.
