Samartex FC to engage Basake Holy Stars in friendly

As part of their drawing up for the second round of the season, Samartex 1996 will engage in a mid-season friendly match against Basake Holy Stars, a Division One side in Aiyinasi-Nzema.

After successfully completing the first phase of their preparations in Samreboi, the Timber Giants have ventured to the coconut grove town to step up their preparations for remaining matches of the Ghana Premier League.

The former Division One zone II champions are set to face Basake Holy Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday, February 11. Samartex has already played and won matches against King Bobo and Chicago for in Aiyinasi, so as a 4-1 victory over Nzema Kotoko at the Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli III Sports Arena on Friday with the aim to maintain their perfect record when they face Basake Holy Stars.

The Ghana Premier League leaders are determined to add up more fireworks in the quest to clinch their maiden top-flight league.

This match will also serve as a significant test for Basake Holy Stars, who are aspiring to secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League in the ongoing session. They are currently sitting at the apex of Division One League-zone II.
