Omanhene of Nsein appeals to the next gov’t to consider elevating the status of KNHS to College of Agriculture.

The paramount chief of the Nsein Traditional Council, Awulae Agyevi Kwame II has appealed to the next to-be-elected government to consider elevating the status of the Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School, Nsein.

Speaking at the homecoming and inauguration of the restored name; Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School which was held today, 21st September requested that in the future the status of the school should be elevated to a college of agriculture.

He asserted that, after the December 7 elections, whoever becomes the President of the day should consider taking his appeal into action.

”Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School, Nsein is 64 years old. At this old age, Dr. Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and other presidential aspirants when voted into power should diligently work towards elevating the status of the school to a college of agriculture”. He said.

He explained that the school has a sizable land to take care of such elevation should it be taken into consideration by the next government. He is of the vision that this College of Agriculture which would be called Dr. Kwame Nkrumah College of Agriculture will be under the supervision of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Having two major universities in the Western Region; Takoradi Technical University (TTU) and the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), the establishment of the Dr. Kwame Nkrumah College of Agriculture will serve many purposes.

He was in high spirits to have lived to witness the restored name from Nsein SHS to Kwame Nkrumah SHS, recalling the accusations he had been taken through with insults.
