With the 2024 elections approaching, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its leader, John Dramani Mahama, have come under fire from Justin Frimpong Kodua, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for their delays in releasing their manifesto to the electorate.

Frimpong Kodua stated that he wouldn’t be shocked if the NDC adopted the NPP’s policy document during the NPP manifesto unveiling on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Takoradi, in the Western Region.

“Today is a very important day in our party calendar. After successfully making history and proving doubters wrong by electing a Northerner and a Muslim as our presidential candidate, we are again, as a political party, setting the pace by being the first to launch the manifesto for the 2024 election.”

“I’m not surprised at all because even in exams, students who don’t prepare always want the good ones to start so they can copy them,” he jabbed.

Frimpong Kodua also used the occasion to commend Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, for his leadership qualities and to assert that he has the capacity to lead Ghana to new heights during the ensuing four years.

“I trust Dr. Bawumia and I know he will be a great president of Ghana,” Mr. Frimpong added.
